At Colab Services we understand the importance of mental health and well-being, especially during Mental Health Awareness Week.  As a company dedicated to providing top-quality testing kits to our healthcare professionals, we recognise mental health's crucial role in overall wellness.  This week we want to emphasise the significance of mental health testing and screening in identifying and addressing potential concerns early on.  By utisiling our testing kits, healthcare professionals can better assess and support their patient's mental health needs.  Let's work together to raise awareness and prioritise mental health this Mental Health Awareness Week.

"Does Mould Really Matter?" Conference

On Saturday, March 9th, 2024, Colab Services accomplished the first " Does Mould Really Matter?" conference, it was executed by Louise Carder, co-founder and driving force behind Colab Services, along with a host of world-renowned speakers.  Louise Carder is the first, and only, non-medical practitioner in Europe to be certified in the Shoemaker Protocol. She has long been campaigning for more awareness and different treatment approaches for people suffering from Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome (CIRS), biotoxin illness (caused by moulds/molds and fungi) and the role of histamine in chronic illness, in particular.

This was an incredible event with a strong turnout and enthusiastic participation from our community and beyond.  The feedback we received was overwhelmingly positive and we are thrilled to see the impact of our collective efforts and hard work.  The dedication and passion of our practitioners have truly shone through during this time. Their contributions have been invaluable to the success of our event, and we are grateful for their ongoing support.

As we continue to move forward, we are excited to build upon this momentum and explore new opportunities for collaboration and growth.

If you missed out on the “Does Mould Really Matter?” Conference, the recording of the day is still available.  You can email [email protected] for more information on this.

Louise Carder will be talking at CIRSx on May 17th 2024 along with a host of other amazing experts in their field

March Events 2024 Summary

We recently hosted a week of events in association with Amrita.

On the 2nd March Dr Eric Dorninger presented the APEX EDUCATION Launch in London.  This was a terrific day with Amrita front and centre stage as retailers of Apex products in the UK and Europe, and Colabs co-hosting to showcase relevant testing.  Tanya Borowski from Amrita introduced the session and welcomed Dr Dorninger to the stage, where we were then treated to a day chocked full of clinical pearls on functional endocrinology.

On the 7th March a Double Header day, comprising an intensive masterclass workshop session with Dr Dorninger, Dr McMahon and Louise Carder.  Our excellent group of practitioners had the opportunity to pick the brains of these leading experts and guide the session's agenda with case study questions and discussions around CIRS.  In the evening we had the inaugural Meeting of Mould Minds virtual session, with leading global experts each delivering a 10 minute snapshot of their latest research or clinical work.  We were delighted to welcome Dr Shoemaker himself to the session and he shone a light on his latest paper on Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension.

On the 8th March saw our latest Biotoxins in Clinical Practice cohort come together for a day of 1:1 learning with Drs Dorninger and McMahon.  This was the penultimate session for the 2024 cohort.

On the 9th March was the final event of the week, with the Does Mould Really Matter? Conference.  We had speakers from Europe and the USA sharing their incredible specialist knowledge on the topic of mould and other biotoxins and their effect on human health. Breakout workshops on both environment and health-related action plans were delivered by experts in both fields.

The day was captured perfectly by Meleni Aldridge of ANH international, with her article which can be found here:

Home Testing Solutions Live Session with Nutrition Collective

Colabs were delighted to attend the Home Testing Solutions live event hosted by Nutrition Collective in London on the 21st March 2024.  Louise Carder, Colab Director, presented on at home hormone testing options, such as the Z721 Advanced Metabolites dried urine test, and the various blood spot options Colabs offer, in an engaging presentation that took a deeper dive when reviewing steroidogenic pathways testing.  Colabs offer the original dried urine test for assessment of steroidogenic hormones, and the ZRT test is unparalleled in the number of metabolites tested and turnaround time.

Karina Athwal Colabs' Education lead joined Louise on the Colab Services stand.  We had a lovely evening meeting a fantastic group of practitioners and felt honoured to have been invited to showcase Colab Services roster of testing at this event by the fabulous team at Nutrition Collective.

AFMCP - hosted by Clinical Education

We were delighted to attend the AFMCP Europe/Functional Medicine Master class in September 2024.

We met a fabulous group of keen practitioners dipping their toe into Functional Medicine for the first time.

We were able to showcase Colab Services wider range of testing and thoroughly enjoyed the event and the venue.
